Mostly every millennial I know has a soft spot for '90s and '00s music. Here are 12 songs from that era, not in any particular order, to help keep everyone motivated to get through the end of the semester, school year, or even just the workday!

1. The Middle — Jimmy Eat World (2001)

This song reminds me that we're just in the midst of things and one day we will get where we are going but for now just enjoy the ride, be yourself and don't care about what anyone else thinks!

2. The Distance — Cake (1996)

While this song seems to be about a man who chooses his racing career over the woman in his life, it is a song that gets you motivated.

3. Fly — Sugar Ray (1997)

How can you not feel motivated after singing the words, "I just want to fly!"

4. You Get What You Give — New Radicals (1998)

5. It’s My Life — Bon Jovi (2000)

6. I Believe I Can Fly — R-Kelly (1997)

The title of the song says it all!

7. I’m Like A Bird — Nelly Furtado (2000)

This song can be seen as a metaphor for one who wants to fly away from anything such as an old school or home.

8. Lose Yourself — Eminem (2002)

This song tells us to take that once in a lifetime shot!

9. Waiting on the World to Change — John Mayer (2006)

10. Unwritten — Natasha Bedingfield (2004)

This song reminds us that what happens to us is yet to be determined, and we decide what happens to us.

12. I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack (2000)

If this song doesn't inspire you to get up and make your life worth living I don't know what will!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
