The horror of midterms has finally ended, and it’s time for a much-needed spring break. After a few days with family and a few more with friends, it’s normal to miss the hustle and bustle of college life. The transition from living with wonderful (hopefully) roommates to being back at home with parents (if you don't go away for break!) who fall asleep at 8:30 p.m. on any given day can seem strange and out of place. Yes, of course, spending time with family is important and refreshing, but the calm of break can impact high-strung college students. If you’re from a small town, the lack of night life can seem devastating at first. But not to fret, here’s a compilation of ways to amuse yourself during break.
1. Read.
When else will you have the chance to read for fun without the pressure of other classes?
2. Make sentimental holiday gifts/cards.
Anyone can spend money to show they care, but if you have hours to binge-watch Netflix shows you don’t even like, you can make your gifts have meaning.
3. Catch up with your high school friends, obviously.
4. Actually listen to your family when they tell you about people you don’t know.
They can tell you’re phoning in on conversations.
4. Workout.
College food can get the best of us.
