The season of freaking out is upon us! There are many ways of dealing with stress, but, unfortunately, many of those methods - such as hiding permanently under the bed or vandalizing other people's property - are unhealthy or illegal. Here are eleven ways to deal with stress in a socially acceptable way - and most of them aren't even very time-consuming!
1. Take naps.
Naps are less harmful to your body than all the coffee and energy drink you would be guzzling otherwise. The only problem is that your "twenty minute nap" will probably turn into something much longer than you intended, causing you to wake up in an unfamiliar dystopian future.
2. Look at satisfying gifs.

Be transported into a world where everything fits perfectly into place. And good news! All of the gifs in this article are satisfying!
3. Look at the color blue.
Studies show that the color blue has a calming affect on the human brain. Or want to feel an energy boost? Then gaze upon something yellow!
4. Watch videos of people cutting jello.
There's very good reason the diy giant-jello trend has become so big lately. There's nothing more strangely soothing than watching a knife slide through some perfectly symmetrical jello.
5. Make art.
You were not put on this earth to be stressed. You were put here to create beautiful things. Incorporating art into your day can be as easy as doodling in your notebook or dreaming up poems in the elevator!
6. Spend time in nature.
If it's warm enough, run outside and don't loo back! Looming deadlines and glitchy wifi don't bother you when you're outdoors!
7. Listen to music.
If music calmed a troubled King Saul, why shouldn't it work for you? Thais Meditation. Enya. Nature sounds. Listen to whatever floats your boat and restores your soul!
8. Write yourself a minutely detailed schedule.
Organize the brief time you have left this semester to make sure you get all your stuff done. You'll feel like a boss. Just be sure to leave time to de-stress!
9. Pretend your work is fun.
Force yourself to have a preternaturally good attitude about homework and studying. Tell yourself there's no place you'd rather be than in class. Education is a privilege, and you should act like it.
10. Clean and organize all your earthly possessions.
When life is at its craziest, it sometimes seems like your physical surroundings are all that's still under your control. Put them in order and your inner peace will return.
11. Laugh.
Keep smiling! No matter how stressed out you are, there is still always joy in being alive!
