Coffee. If you're anything like me, you need a cup (or ten) of this warm, indulgent beverage every day just to get you going each day.

By noon, you're ready for round two, and might even drop a couple more bucks to satisfy your craving. Don't get me wrong, my love for Starbucks started when I was young (thanks a lot, mom), and will probably continue until the day I die. Is Starbucks really a gateway drug?

Well, if the shoe fits...

1. It forms a habit.

If your morning is thrown off and suddenly miserable just because you overslept and couldn't get your Starbucks, you may have a habit started. Habits lead to addiction.

2. It's dangerous (to your wallet).

Spending $5-10 each day will add up quickly. Any Starbucks connoisseur knows Starbucks isn't exactly beneficial for your bank account.

3. It's sometimes all you ever think about.

When the question of when or how you're going to get your next iced coffee crosses your mind multiple times a day, there may be a slight issue. But hey, I'm not judging.

4. Your current addiction will effect you later in life.

You better put in your marriage vows that daily Starbucks trips must be okay with your S/O. How could you live a life without them? Your addiction will most likely get worse with age, so accept the fate now.

5. It effects your social life.

Too many of your group hangouts with your gal pals or meetings with your coworkers take place at your local Starbucks because it's so convenient, and you can get your coffee fix.

6. You start to become immune to it.

Like any addict, you'll eventually grow immune to the caffeine levels in your sacred beverage. What you used to order (a tall latte) has now turned into a venti black coffee. Some call it progress, some call it addiction.

7. You crash when you're forced to go without it.

Visiting a town without a Starbucks within 20 miles? Good luck dealing with that headache you're going to develop any minute now.

8. You love the rush that it gives you.

The "rush" consists of hyperactivity and the mindset that you can actually make it through a Monday, if you've got your Starbucks in hand.

9. It can alter your mood.

Refraining from a Starbucks visit can severely alter your day for the worse.

10. It impacts your brain.

When you have coffee on the brain, all willpower is lost and you must give in.

11. You can't picture life without it.

What would you do without a drive-thru that satisfies your caffeine needs?

If Starbucks is your drug of choice, keep doing your thing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
