11 Things You Shouldn't Do While Traveling: That I've Definitely Done

We've all been there -- I hope. You make a huge traveling goof and end up running through the airport only to arrive at the wrong gate as boarding is closing in another terminal. No? Just me? Well, either way, there are a few things you should definitely not do when you are traveling and I have definitely done or almost done. Hey, abroad is supposed to be a learning experience -- right?

1. Show up only an hour before your flight because you got confused with the 24-hour time keeping.

2. Go to the airport without having eaten at all, only to find no time to eat.

3. Let the person with dyslexia read the departure board for your gate.

4. Run through the airport and assume you know where you are going.

You will get lost.

5. Not read the fine print and have to repack your life into one bag and no personal item.

6. Not know the name of your hotel and have the wrong one written on your itinerary.

7. Not plan how you were going to get to your hotel.

8. Not have any clue where your arrival point was in a city.

9. Stand in the middle of automatic doors on trains.

Ask Lexi -- they will close on you.

10. Not check into your flight because your ticket was a real one, and make it all the way to the gate before someone said something

11. Go to the wrong airport.

OK -- yes, this almost happened.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
