Getting ready for a vacation takes a lot of preparation, especially when deciding what to bring for the trip. If you're anything like me, you set aside one day before your trip to figure out every item you're going to pack. Then, you strategically lay it all out before shoving it in a suitcase. This method may be tedious, but you'll thank yourself in the long run because you won't stress about clothes on vacation. Here are 11 thoughts every travel packer understands all too well.
1. Do I need a bigger suitcase?
How is this suitcase not closing? It's not that much stuff!
2. I can no longer see my bed--or floor--or dresser
Don't worry, it won't look like this in 24 hours.
3. I can totally pack everything if I take a carry on!

5. I NEED to pack these 6 pairs of shoes
Because I need to walk everywhere, but look super stylish and sometimes fancy, while also not getting blisters every single day of vacation.
6. Can I re-wear this shirt?
This phrase would echo in my head the entire day I rewore an outfit and the spirit of Kate Sanders would come back from 2003 to curse me. So rewearing this blouse more than once is not an option.
7. This is too much of an effort
The burden of picking out what to wear for the following two weeks is too much to handle--I need a vacation from packing for vacation.
8. "Travel size" items make this a lot easier!
Nevermind, I was wrong.
9. This is the day I discover I have nothing to wear
What have I actually been wearing for these past 11 months when I needed to dress myself for school/work/going out? I have absolute nothing to form an outfit!
10. Is packing an art form or a science?
More importantly: could I make money off being a professional packer?
