As we prepare to head back to college in the next few weeks, it is important to savor the last days of summer. Soon, the stresses of school will become too much to handle, and we will wish for the lazy days of summer.
Here is a list of the simple luxuries you will miss while away at school
1. Home-cooked meals.
Nothing compares to your favorite meal prepared by someone you love. Cafeteria food gets old quick, so be sure to eat as much as you can at home.
2. The comfort of your own bed.
There is nothing like your bed at home. Its extra comforting to be in something that you can call your own for more than a couple of semesters.
3. Friends from home.
Your friends from home are the best because you've been through so much together. They've known you forever and can always make you laugh.
4. The income from your summer job.
If you're not working during school, its probable that you will miss the steady income from your summer job as you become a poor college student once again.
5. Free time.
With school comes lots of responsibilities, which means less time spent on Netflix and more time studying.
6. Your car.
If you're not lucky enough to have your car on campus, getting around feels nearly impossible. The shuttles are never on time!
7. Your parents.
Although they can get on your nerves, your parents are there to love and support you, and after a while you will miss them. Make sure to call them every once and a while!
8. Things your parents do for you.
Your parents probably do a lot for you, and you don't realize it until you live on your own. The laundry piles get higher, and the bank accounts get lower. You're going to miss the chores they do and having someone there to loan you $5.
9. Siblings.
Siblings can be more annoying than parents at times, but they're like your built-in partner in crime and you will miss them tons!
10. Pets
This is self-explanatory because pets can do no wrong.
11. Your Privacy
You'll never understand how great it is to live in a space of your own with no one around until you live with roommates. As much as you love them, you'll be craving privacy at some point.
