Some would say it's a way of life...

11 Things You Know if You're Addicted to Starbucks

It started innocently enough. One day, a few weeks before Christmas, my mom treated me to a peppermint mocha from Starbucks. I was 13 and I knew this was a rite of passage, a step towards adulthood, a sign that I was mature. I sipped my grande seasonal beverage, displaying the cup like a badge of honor. Little did I know, that a mere six years later I would be craving a drink with that spectacular lil green logo everyday, trying to reach gold level status, and hoping for gift cards at every holiday. You might have a similar story. This article is for all of us who are addicted to Starbucks.

1. You suffer immensely if there isn't a Starbucks on your campus.

This might have even had (at least a small) part in your decision over which college to go to. A day full of classes that start too early, work, and Netflix marathons, without a venti cold-brew, is no life for anyone.

2. If you do have a Starbucks on campus, you also suffer immensely.

Mainly because any and every form of payment goes towards paying for your addiction. Whether it's through your meal plan, gift cards, or cash you will get your drink at all costs.

3. You know the fastest route to the nearest Starbucks at any time.

You have the Waze app for a reason! You feel most secure knowing there is at least one Starbucks near you at all times and you need to know exactly how to get there. The idea of an area that doesn't have a Starbucks chills you to the bone.

4. You got a little bit excited when you got green status

And even more excited when you hit gold. Is it lame to feel like you are part of an exclusive club? Maybe. But you can't help that the perks make you feel like a VIP.

5. You have intense opinions on each seasonal offering and even which season has the best flavors.

Seasonal flavors do not end at just pumpkin spice and peppermint mocha. Chestnut praline, cherry blossom frappucinos and the selection of summer iced teas are all just vastly underrated!

6. The baristas at your local store begin to recognize you and even memorize your order.

Especially if you're not an a*****e when getting your drink. You might start to notice your name is always spelled right on your cup and you might even score some freebies. It pays to be nice!

7. Every time you stop to get a drink you consider buying one of the fancy reusable cups.

They're so aesthetically pleasing, but the price tag holds you back. This leads to a ten-minute inner debate over whether or not you need a metallic Starbucks brand coffee cup.

8. You have your go-to favorite drink, yet the new ones always tempt you.

You always say you need to branch out more, yet you walk out with your go-to that you've been getting for years. Yeah, I don't know how it happens either.

9. You just roll your eyes when people say Starbucks is "basic."

Or any other variation of Starbucks slander. Hey, we all have our preferences. Now go be foolish in Dunkin or wherever it is you go.

10. You know to ask for no water, no ice when getting an iced drink.

Leaving all of that glorious room for more flavor and deliciousness (ya know, besides getting your absolute money's worth out of one drink like a scammer).

11. Lastly, you don't want your specialty iced teas or caffeine rushes from anywhere else.

It might seem cliche, but those lil drinks can make your days just a little brighter and there's nothing wrong with that! So go out, get your signature drink, and have a great day.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
