I don't know if you all know about the fun little app called Timehop, but it's an app that allows you to connect your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and see the things you posted on that day years before. For example, if I were to get on Timehop on July 7th, it would should me everything I've ever posted on July 7th years before. So anyways, on top of all that, I get to see all the embarrassing posts I put up as a 13 year old, when I thought I was the coolest kid around.
1. You DO NOT need to update your Facebook status every 5 minutes. Stop it.
2. I don't care what you think, that hairstyle is NOT OK. Not now and not ever.
3. Under no circumstances, do you need to use 30 "!" at the end of your statuses.
4. Just because you're done doing whatever you posted your last status about, doesn't mean you need to post another update saying you're not doing it anymore.
5. Just because you found a new song you really like, doesn't mean you need to post the lyrics to it at the end of your statuses for the next month.
6. I PROMISE you, you're going to regret that mirror selfie in four years.
7. Stop making a duck face in every picture you take, please.
8. That boy you're crying about, I KNOW you won't even think about by the time you're 15 so stop stressing
9. For the love of all that is good and holy, stop putting all those stupid edits on your pictures, it looks so stupid
10. You're in the 8th grade. You may be the top dog of middle school now, but you'll be a freshman and right back at the bottom of the food chain next year. Stop acting like your sh*t doesn't stink.
11. You're only 13. You're not grown, so stop acting like it. You've got your whole life to grow up, enjoy this time to be a kid.
I wish I would've known all this before so I wouldn't want to punch myself in the face every time I see what 13-year-old me posted on social media. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
