Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope your stomachs are full to the brim with turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Although the food is fantastic we must remember that Thanksgiving isn't about the food. It is a time of year when we take just one day to reflect on how thankful we are for the things and people in our life. Most people would say they are thankful for their family, home, and food. Others might be thankful for their cars, jobs, and swimming. We all have our specifics, but I bet the next eleven in this article aren't things that you have thought about being thankful for. Strange as they may seem, think about adding these things to your list next time grandma goes around the table and asks what you are thankful for.

1. Public Restrooms.

It may seem odd but when you have to go, you have to go. I am thankful for these bathrooms. I enjoy knowing that public humiliation is not going to occur because of these majestic areas.

2. Online ordering for food and items.

Let us all take a second to admit that some days we are not people persons. The fact that we can sit at home and wait for something to arrive at our door within hours or days is a magical moment within itself.

3. Elevators.

I will be the first to admit that I take the elevator when ever I have to go up more than one flight of stairs. I know I am lazy, but stairs are obnoxious and exhausting.

4. Energetic Coworkers.

Without the ladies that I work with, I wouldn't make it through the day. Their separate personalities brighten up my job everyday. Work is so much better when I know I am going to see them.

5. My sweatpants.

I was introduced to the idea of wearing sweatpants as a normal day attire by my roommates in college. I feel as though I was deprived as a child. Sweatpants are glorious. They are warm and comfortable. In my opinion sweatpants are like a hug in pant form.

6.Deodorant.

Rank is the word that I would use to describe myself if I did not have deodorant. Thank you Edna Murphy for this great invention.

7. Towels.

Moist. No one likes this word let alone the feeling. Towels helps to prevent this. Plus they are comfortable. I am glad that I am able to get out of a shower and prevent this.

8.Pots and Pans.

Have you ever thought about what life would be like if we did not have pots or pans? Exactly! Be thankful for the pots and pans.

9. Mailmen and Mail Women.

I do not think I could go through what the postal workers go through on a daily basis. These people are so kind and friendly. Plus they deliver everything and anything. I am so thankful for these people.

10. Sugar, Flour, Eggs and Butter.

This seems random yes, but these four items are a key factor in almost all of the foods that are around today. Combined they make the most fantastic things and taste amazing.

11. Flowers.

Although most are gone now, I am thankful for flowers. They can brighten any persons day, and I feel as though they are that extra sign from above saying that things are fine.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
