11 Things That Happened At This Year's VMA's

This year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMA's) was nothing short of eventful. I won't lie, every year I get a little nervous for how the show will go because it's usually pretty hyped up with not a lot of followthrough. However, this year had me laughing, gasping and yelling at my television. So without further ado, here are, in my opinion, the most pivotal moments that went down at this year's VMA's:

1. Hostess Miley Cyrus kept a minimalistic wardrobe theme going throughout the entire show.


2. Nicki Minaj opened the show with Taylor Swift thus putting an end to all of those feud rumors.

3. But then quickly made it clear that she had a new feud with Miley Cyrus by calling her out during her acceptance speech for "Best Hip-Hop Video."

4. Justin Bieber did his first live performance in 5 years and ended it in tears.

I'll be your shoulder to cry on, Biebs.

5. He also channeled his inner Kate Gosselin with his new hairstyle.

6. Taylor Swift presented Kanye West with the coveted "Video Vanguard Award" and even made a "i'mma let you finish" reference.

7. Kanye used his acceptance speech to rant and make everyone in the audience uncomfortable.

8. And then announced he would be running for president in 2020.

9. Taylor Swift won the "Video of the Year Award" and brought her entire gorgeous girl gang on stage to accept with her.


10. Miley Cyrus had what seemed like a not-so-accidental wardrobe malfunction.

11. She then closed the show by performing a brand-new song supporting The Happy Hippie Foundation and the LGBT Community.
