Joyce Byers does not only show the fact that a mother will go to the ends of the Earth for their children, and even the upside down. But the fact she held Eleven's hand when they put her in the sensory deprivation pool, and comforted her throughout the entire thing, made me cry.

3. Character development is an amazing thing.

You are an idiot Steve Harrington.

4. Mornings are for coffee and contemplation.

Amen.

5. There will always that one friend who will be brutally honest when describing you to other people.

6. Don't leave your friends, ever.

ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S A DEMAGORGAN. TALKING TO YOU NANCY WHEELER.

7. There is never a wrong time for waffles.

If you disagree, you're a mouthbreather.

8. The power of a nose bleed.

Everytime Eleven got a nose bleed, you knew something was about to go down.

9. We all are Jonathan Byers.

10. Never underestimate the big sister.

We all misjudged Nancy, let's be real.

11. The definition of friendship.

This show taught me, that no matter how weird or strange you may be, your friends will love and accept you for that because that's friendship. That and how far your friends will go to save you from the upside down.

Now, if anyone needs me, I'll be sitting here with my waffles, waiting for season two.
