Throughout life, one can find that they are collecting items, either directly or indirectly. I believe that collecting things relieves stress and makes you feel organized. Also, it is a great conversation starter! Collecting is a pretty cool and brings some interesting aspects into one's life. Below are 11 things that would be awesome to collect- some of them I have collections of and others are ideas. I hope they make you happy, which is the ultimate goal!

1. Snow globes

Though they bring some concern on my trips because I don't want them to break, but they're so fun! Snow globes highlight your adventurous side and are trackers for the different places on has gone to. My collection is based on travel, but you can collect them for pop-culture or if you like the design!

2. Gems or crystals

Gems or crystals are my favorite things to collect. They range from inexpensive to expensive, smooth to rough, and small to large. The best part is that there are so many crystals available so every buy will be one of a kind! These rocks are great for bringing good vibes to my life!

3. Deck of cards

I don't collect cards but the options are endless! You can get them from different cities/countries, places of interest, or even some local stores. They're fun to look at and even play with!

4. Coffee mugs

Coffee lovers unite! Collecting mugs brings the best of both worlds: drinking coffee and admiring good design.

5. Rubber ducks

Just because they're funny!

6. Shot glasses

You don't have to be 21 or older to collect shot glasses, my friends! Glasses can detail different places you've been to or be very funny.

7. Movie tickets

Something movie lovers can collect! Save the memories of all the movies you've been to (and all that money you spent, too)! You can make fun projects out of them like garlands or frames.

8. Vinyl records

This can be a little pricey, but it's worth it! A record player is needed unless you just like the album art, which is totally fine. Vinyls are perfect for music lovers and people who like a blast from the past. Current artists are pricier, but there are some great finds at vintage shops and thrift stores.

9. Coins or currency

Like snow globes, coins are something you can collect that shows how much of a traveler you are! They can be found anywhere- at thrift stores, souvenir shops, or even the ground! There are copious amounts of ways to sort them and you can never have all of them.

10. Sand and seashells

There are so many types of seashells, making it fun for anyone! The colors and designs can bring a lot of joy to the collector and will brighten up the room. You can even collect sand, too. Put the seashells you found from the beach on the sand and have them in separate containers!

11. Items revolving around pop culture

Pop! Funko characters are just one example of collecting pop culture items. I collect these because I love books, TV shows, and movies and I can get my favorite characters and show them off! In addition, one can collect things revolving around specific bands or artists as well as other types (books, movies, celebrities, etc.).

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
