The fall semester is finally over and you can finally breathe again. All those piled up assignments are cleared from your desk and now you can take the time to do the things you been dying to do. Here are 11 things you can finally do now that the semester is over:

1. Read that one series you been eyeing up

Everyone has that one book series that they want to read or reread. Now that your schedule is cleared up, maybe you will finally make the time to sit down and get comfortable.

2. Catch up on those episodes you missed

Some people can watch tv while doing homework; others have complete focus on the task at hand. This leaves a buildup of episodes on the to-do list. Time to grab a blanket, comfy clothes, and a pillow to finally catch up on what you been missing.

3. Get some ZZZs

Pulling all-nighters is never a good thing. I'm pretty sure the fourth day awake involves hallucinations. Make sure you catch up on sleep so you can continue to do the things you love.

4. Write those stories

For my writers out there, time to catch up all those ideas you had stored somewhere. Bring out your writing tools and put that creative mind to work.

5. Cook those recipes

For my fellow cooks and bakers, it is time to pick up those cooking utensils. All those recipes you have been saving on Pinterest, you finally have the time to try them out.

6. Spend time with friends

I am sure no one had time to spend with friends because of all the work. Spending time studying in the library next to them doesn't exactly count either. Time to make up for lost time.

7. Exercise

Studying or exercise? For most people, passing that class is important and some slack on that exercise routine is excused. Now it is time to hit the gym again and this time you have time to focus on those muscles you have been ignoring.

8. Focus on your job

Some of you may have to deal with a job and school so now you can focus on one thing. If you are angling for a promotion or another benefit now is the time to put the effort in and hopefully achieve it.

9. Focus on family

School takes a lot of time and focus. Sometimes spending time on one thing does not leave a lot of time for the other. Family is important and now that you have time to spare you can use it on your family.

10. Work on your computer

Clear all those files you do not need any more from your computer. Do those updates that you have been putting off. Make sure your computer is up and running for the next semester.

11. Have fun

Make sure you use the break to do whatever you couldn't do before. Next semester is approaching and now is the time to get the fun out of your system. Enjoy your break!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
