Never let anyone put you down for wearing makeup. Rock that wing, wear the bold lip, and contour the hell out of your face! Life is too short to worry about what everyone else is thinking. Do what you love and wear what you want. Here are 11 things that makeup lovers are absolutely sick of hearing.

1. "You spent how much on that???"

$54.95, thanks for asking. And it was worth every penny.

2. "You'd look so much better without makeup on."

You'd look better if you didn't talk. But we don't always get what we want, do we? Not only is that insulting, but some people feel more comfortable with makeup on.

3. "All that makeup makes you look like a clown."

Funny, I've never seen a clown with this strong of a contour. Or one that used a Naked palette, but okay.

4. "How much eye shadow do you really need?"

ALL OF IT. High end, drugstore, you name it. There are so many different formulas, colors, pigments, etc. that I haven't tried yet.

5. Isn't that lip a little bold for you?

First off, I can wear whatever lip color I want. Black, red, green, blue, whatever. With the right gloss I can make anything work for me.

6. Why would you wear fake lashes? That's stupid.

Have you seen how stubby and clumpy mascara makes my lashes look? I need wispy, not stuck together.

7. Don't you think your highlight is a little too much?

I want to glow like the moon on a clear summer night. No highlight is too much.

8. Makeup is such a waste of time.

Doing my makeup is part of my routine. I can get a full face on in 10-15 minutes, tops.

9. Wearing makeup is basically lying to everyone about how you look.

If you think my eyelids are naturally gold or my lips are naturally purple, that's your problem. If you think about it, by putting a filter on your Insta pic, you're pretty much lying about how you look, too.

10. Boys/girls don't like girls who wear too much makeup.

Last time I checked, my boyfriend could care less if I have makeup on or not! As long as I'm not getting it all over his clothes, I think it's okay. Either way, if someone tells me it's wrong to wear makeup then I don't want to be right.

11. Why is your makeup done but your outfit is so bad?

Sometimes my sweats need to be a little classier. Also it might be laundry day #sorrynotsorry.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
