11 Things I Hope The Netflix "Gilmore Girls Revival" Answers
Gilmore Girls

Back in the summer of 2008, (long before all the other band wagoners binge watched on Netflix) I began watching reruns of a series called "Gilmore Girls." I watched the series (fittingly enough) with my mom. I remember not enjoying the show at first. However, after a while I was captivated. The witty dialogue, the pop culture references and the simplicity of the storylines are just some of the things that have charmed so many viewers.

As with so many great television series (looking at you "How I Met Your Mother"), the ending was not all that great. So when I found out the show would be returning as a miniseries on Netflix, I dropped everything and called my mom to let her in on the great news. There are so many unanswered questions that we are dying to know. After many years of waiting, we finally get to return to Stars Hollow and find out what exactly became of the "Gilmore Girls."

1. Who does Rory end up with?

Dean was Rory's first love, Jess was the brooding writer and Logan was charming, adventurous and rich. Much to my mom’s chagrin, I am team Jess. My mom is a proud member of Team Dean (for reasons I cannot fathom). That being said, I hope it is Jess. I highly doubt it is Dean and Logan because there seemed to be closure there. The only one that was left with little closure was Jess. However, I think that they might bring in a new guy that will be "the one." As long as Rory is happy, I’ll be happy.

2. Did Luke and Lorelei get married?

We all saw them reunite in the series finale, but I would love to finally see them married.

3. Did Luke and Lorelei have kids?

There would be at least two and half decades in between Rory and any of her potential siblings. No big deal.

4. How is Emily coping with the loss of Richard?

Sadly, Edward Hermann passed away in 2014. The thought of Emily permanently alone in that big mansion gets me teary eyed.

5. Did Kirk ever find a long-term job?

Kirk was notorious for having many, many jobs. Did one finally stick?

6. Did Rory become a White House reporter following Obama’s campaign?

When we last saw Rory, she was about to leave to be a journalist covering Barack Obama’s campaign. We now know that he won the presidency. So is Rory still covering Obama now that he is president? I can’t wait to see what she is up to now!

7. What is Paris up to?

World domination, most likely.

8. Did Jess ever become a famous author?

When we last saw Jess, he had published a novel! We were all glad he got his life together, but it would be awesome if he was a famous author.

9. What is going on with Logan?

At the end of the series, he gave Rory an ultimatum. He wanted her to marry him and move to the West Coast or they were done. He gave her this ultimatum on the day of her graduation, no less. Rory declined and then received a job covering Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.

10. Is Dean still living in Stars Hollow?

If I was Dean I would leave the tiny town that contains an ex-wife, ex-in laws, ex-girlfriend/other women, mother of ex-girlfriend/other women. That town isn’t big enough to avoid all of them.

11. Did Lane ever become a famous drummer?

When we last saw Lane, her husband Zack was going to go on tour with a band. She was planning on staying home. I hope she found a way to live out her dreams! I also can’t wait to see how cute her kids are now!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
