1) End of the semester
No more 8 A.M.'s, no more studying, there's a finally time to just be yourself without stressing over grades, homework assignments, projects and everything else. It gives us a nice little break to rejuvenate and prepare ourselves for the spring semester.
2) Relaxing
The days of being able to have a day to yourself are approaching. Relaxing is a must for everyone who is taking any sort of final. Stress is so bad for the body, so it's important to reward yourself for everything you've accomplished this semester! So take a walk, play with a puppy, binge watch Netflix. Do whatever makes you happy, you've earned it!
3) Sleep
Finals week is stressful and if you're anything like me you've maybe gotten 3 hours of sleep this week. I am literally counting down the minutes until I will be able to sleep uninterrupted for a period longer than 3 hours.
4) Work
Work may not be the most exciting thing about Christmas break, but being able to go back to school with a refreshed bank account makes it all worth while. I personally enjoy shopping and going out with my friends, so the idea of not saving some money up is literally music to my ears.
5) Seeing family
I'm someone who's extremely close to my family and while living apart from them is a lot of fun, I miss them and I cant wait to be in the same house with them again.
6) YOUR PETS
Pets are the best part of going home. They're always excited when you walk through the door, and they love to be loved on!
7) Semi formal
If you're a part of Greek Life, chances are you have a semi formal coming up soon. Mine happens to be right after finals and that's one of the main components pulling me through this week.
8) Road trip
While it will be amazing to see my family and high school friends, my college friends are also a huge part of my life and going 4 weeks without them is too long. So my friends and I decided to road trip to Texas for a weekend over break.
9) Christmas Day
Who doesn't love Christmas day? Presents, family, food, alcohol, it's all the makings for a great family gathering and it's an amazing opportunity to catch up with cousins and extended family.
10) Home cooked food
Although our cafeteria isn't bad, a person can only eat so much pizza before she finds it repulsive. Christmas is a long break with plenty of time for home cooked meals and leftovers!
11) Reuniting with high school friends
College has definitely been different. Different schedules, different subjects, different friends, but the one thing that will always be there are your high school friends. At Christmas everyone goes back to the town they come from, it doesn't matter where you go to college because everyone will be there when you get back!
