We all need some (group text) to lean on. I think it's safe to say we are all thankful we have surpassed the flip phone generation and gained the ability to talk to all of our friends simultaneously. Yes, the group chat can certainly have it's downfalls, like when you go to an hour-long class and you suddenly have 287 new messages. However, where would we be without the support and laughs from the group chat periodically throughout the day. Here is a list of texts we can all be found guilty of sending to the group text:

1. Are we looking cute? Or can I just wear sweats?

I mean, you can't be that one person in sweats if there's going to be pictures involved.

2. *Screenshot* How do I respond to this text???

The group text seems to always know the perfect way to respond to every text with that boy you've been crushing on for months or really just any awkward social situation. You guys are the real MVPs.

3. Remember when this happened…?

The group chat is famous for bringing up embarrassing moments, you'd be better off forgetting about.

4. Is this picture good enough to post? If so, what filter should I use?

We all get by with a little (Instagram) help from our friends.

5. Like my Instagram.

Thank you for your cons(Insta)nt support.

6. *Screenshots of tweets that relate to them*

It's our own way of saying "this reminded me of you."

7. Does anyone want anything from Dunks?

Pick me, pick me, pick me. That glorious moment when someone is doing a Dunks run and you've been craving Dunks all morning.

8. Should I buy this?

Yes, the group text is probably why your wallet seems to have gotten thinner as they have been a bad influence on impulse purchases.

9. I'm awkward, what should I do?

Nothing faster than a girl in an uncomfortable situation typing to her group chat, "thank you all, I appreciate you."

10. *Insert rant here.*

Yes, the group chat is a place for ranting and venting. Even if it's just about how the woman in line in front of you accidentally stepped on your foot. How dare she?

11. I just really love you guys, thanks for being you.

At the end of the day, we all appreciate the group text.
