1. Deciding to study.
It's always a good beginning! You're pumped to get some work done and feel like a responsible student. You're going to study your heart out and ace this exam, obviously.
2. Getting all your study materials together.
How are you supposed to study without all of your stuff? You're going to need your notebooks, reading materials, pens, pencils, highlighters and maybe even a good snack. Snacks are an essential study material.
3. Starting to study.
Okay! You've got all your stuff together, you've found a quiet place and now it's time to get down to business. You open your books to where you need to be. Maybe you go to the review sheet to see what you do remember and what you need to brush up on before the exam. You might even check the syllabus to make sure you didn't miss anything.
4. Realizing you have no idea what you're even doing.
What is even going on? You're not entirely sure what you're even reading. These were definitely words a minute ago, but now you might as well be trying to work with cave paintings. Absolutely none of this makes sense, and you don't even remember how you were planning on studying for this exam.
5. Deciding to take a break.
Look away from the materials for a minute, five or maybe an hour. Naps are something every college kid needs to take, right? After all, you can't study on a tired brain. You need to walk away from studying and do something else, anything else, really.
6. Realizing it's six hours later and starting to feel a little desperate.
How did it get so late? What are you even doing with your time? You're starting to feel a little panicked at this point and rightfully so. You really should go back to studying now because you're running out of time.
7. Trying to go back to studying and getting distracted by everything.
It'll only take a second to check your texts! No, you really should focus on studying, but all of a sudden, Twitter's open on your laptop! What's this? Juicy celebrity gossip? A link to a video teaching you how to make brownie batter dip? Awesome!
8. Actually getting back to studying.
Why doesn't any of this look familiar to you? You don't remember learning this in class! Is that even your handwriting? You know you have to press on, though. If you don't remember now, you'll try your hardest to at least remember it for the next couple of days so you can pass the exam.
9. Coffee Break
Thank god for coffee. You might actually make it through this.
10. Going back to studying and powering through.
You can do this! At this point, you start to feel confident in your abilities. All that panicking was for nothing. You've got this!
11. Taking the exam and not having to worry.
Studying might have been rough, but you feel better going into the exam. Everything's going to be great because you studied!
