We've all seen it, we've all done it; commenting on our pal's newest Instagram, Facebook profile picture, whatever it may be. For whatever reason, we've taken to commenting obscure phrases or emojis on these images, most of which our parents will not nor ever understand. Whether it's a cultural reference (what're thoooooose) or a song lyric (I've got a glock in my 'Rari), most pictures are guaranteed a comment like this from a member of the squad. Here are some of the classics.
1. YASSSSSS.
Meaning that the commenter supports this image.
2. *Fire emoji*
Meaning that the commenter believes this person looks very good, hot.
3. UGH, can I be you?!
Meaning that the commenter likes this picture. The commenter also likely does not really want to be you, they are simply stating that this is a good photo.
4. Ok, same.
Meaning that the commenter is jealous of the image somehow, be it of a trip abroad or with their good looking significant other. The commenter would like to be in their shoes.
5. GOALS.
Meaning that the commenter aspires to be the person/couple in question, that they are their body/couple/marriage/house/whatever goals.
Now that we've covered comments, here are the inevitable and cliched captions that are always popping up.
6. "Had more than a ~semi~ good time."
This caption, saved for semi-formals, is a hot one. It is a scientific fact that at least half of a chapter will use some version of this at that event.
7. "Change is a good thing."
Popular for use upon a hair cut or color change.
8. "New year, new me."
Is it, though?
9. "Hey wassup hello."
A little Fetty Wap does the body good, I suppose.
10. "The happiest of hours."
Reserved for happy hour, of course.
11. "Sunday Funday."
Saved for brunches, church, or just living life — on Sunday.
