Being the youngest child is a strange mixture of good and bad experiences. Sometimes you always get an advantage, while other times you just wish you were older. No matter what, those of us who have experienced it understand each other. So, for those of you who don't know what we go through, here are some of the signs of being the youngest sibling.
1. You've gotten many hand-me-downs, whether good or bad.
Some of the clothes are actually really cute, but I could do without those early 2000s jean skirts.
2. You're just a little bit spoiled.
You don't want to be seen this way, but if they offer, you can't say no.
3. As a kid, you hated when your siblings' friends would come over.
They would never let you hang out with them, and you never forgot about it.
4. You're constantly being asked if you're "so-and-so's" little sibling.
The teacher's always ask, and judge you based on the answer. You just want to be your own person.
5. You steal their stuff without asking, but they do it too.
That's what siblings are for.
6. Your parents go the easiest on you.
They went through all the drama with the oldest, and have slowly gotten less strict with each kid. You have it the easiest.
7. You always feel left out when things have an age limit.
As a little kid, all the way up to being a teenager, there's always something you can't do because you're too young. Hopefully your day will come.
8. Your parents compare your accomplishments to your siblings'.
You all get your chance to shine, but when it's not your turn, the comparisons begin.
9. You learn from their mistakes.
You've gotten to see them make all their mistakes, and they help make sure you won't do the same.
10. They always have your back.
No matter what happens, they'll always be on your side. You're a team for life.
11. You will always have the best role models.
They're who you look up to. They'll always try their best to make sure you do the right thing and have a handle on life.
