There’s been quite a bit of research done lately on the subject of quarter-life crises. Basically, it’s the same thing as a mid-life crisis, but happens when you’re in your 20s. Most scientists attribute this growing trend to increased stress in the lives of young adults. If you have any of these 11 symptoms, you might be going through a quarter-life crisis!
11.) You’re in your 20s (18 and 19 are close enough).
10.) You have no idea what you’re doing with your life…
9.) Even though people constantly ask you.
8.) You hate your job.
Fun fact: 60% of millennials (aged 22-32) have changed jobs 1 to 4 times in the last 5 years.
7.) You have serious FOMO (fear of missing out, for you hipsters that don’t know hip texting lingo).
6.) You seriously envy Peter Pan.
I mean, who doesn't?
5.) You still can’t make your own doctor/dentist/hair appointments.
Which basically means it's been a year since you've had your teeth cleaned properly and your hair is about ten inches longer than you want it to be.
4.) When people mention anything remotely adult-y and you want to curl up in a ball until they go away.
If you ignore them long enough, they'll go away, right?
3.) You shoot “existentially fraught free throws” (The Fault in Our Stars reference, okay? Okay.)
That's me trying to reach my goals.
