There are some people who have a pet dog. There are some people who have a pet dog and like it. Then, there are some people who have a pet dog and love it. If you look at your dog and see a furry little prince or princess, there may be a chance that you might be obsessed with your dog.

1. You call your dog by a multitude of cute pet names.

Your dog actually has a name, but you refuse to accept that because no matter how adorable your dog’s actual name is, it will never be as adorable as calling him/her “baby,” “cutie,” or “boo-boo.”

2. Much of your social media is dedicated to photos of your dog.

Your Instagram feed is mostly made of selfies with your dog or cute candid pictures of your dog napping. It might as well be your dog’s Instagram. Not to mention, your dog makes daily appearances on your Snapchat story. You just want everyone to see your “furry baby.”

3. You take your dog’s birthday very seriously.

You know the exact day, month, and year when your dog was born. If those details aren’t as clear, then you estimate a date and stick with it because you need to know what day to give your dog unlimited treats, little presents, and let him/her do whatever they want.

4. When you leave home, you always have to say goodbye to your dog.

It’s like forgetting to say goodbye to your child. Your dog just needs to know that you will be gone for a bit.

5. You make sure to cover your dog with a blanket for every nap.

Your dog may not even be showing signs of being cold, but that doesn’t mean that he/she isn’t! You never miss the chance to tuck in your sleeping dog with a nice, cozy blanket.

6. You are not afraid to give your dog as many kisses as possible.

Sometimes, it’s just inevitable. You look at your dog and just need to show them affection in the most common way possible. You either give them one kiss or 50, there’s no in-between. If you get doggy kisses in return, it’s a bonus!

7. Treats are given to your dog just for being cute.

Treats are a great reward for practicing basic tricks or commands, but sometimes your dog just looks too freaking cute and you need to reward that. Why wouldn’t you?

8. You’re devastated when your dog gets sick.

As soon as your dog shows signs of the slightest fever, you get worried and consult the vet. What if it’s something serious?

9. Your dog’s bed is bigger than your pillow.

Whether your dog is big, medium, or small, he/she deserves the comfiest bed to sleep on. Your dog needs the ultimate space, like a king/queen on a throne.

10. You insist on skyping your dog when you are away.

Whoever is watching your dog when you are away needs to show your precious baby on Skype so that you can say hi. You want to make sure that everything is OK.

11. Although you love all dogs, you still think that your dog is the cutest in the world.

Dogs are the best, but you never fail to show the world how cute your own dog is. Just like your dog sees you as the perfect human, you see your dog as the perfect pet.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
