The world today seems to be run by social media. We see it in fashion, food, lifestyle, and even politics. Many have tried, but it is nearly impossible to avoid having any social media presence. Some people are less in touch with the social media world than the general population. I'm not saying they don't have any social media presence, I mean they are not nearly as deeply devoted to it as the general population. This does not mean that this type of person is antisocial. It means they do not devote nearly as much time as is expected of them on social media. This mainly applies to high school and college age people, because many social media applications were designed for people in that age group. Here are a few signs that you may be one of those people.
1. You only have one social media account.
This account is most likely Facebook or a blog site.
2. You miss a lot of inside jokes or trendy topics.
"Did you see what Kanye West said to Wiz Khalifa on Twitter?" No.
3. Your life is a bit of a mystery.
"You have a boyfriend? No way! Who is it?"
4. so you panic when you meet strangers who know you
5. Your friends always ask you to add a new account
Your friends mean well, because they want to connect with you, but you've never really felt the need to have a Twitter or Snapchat.
6. You're the only one in you friend group who is not on their phone
Let's face it, most of the time when your friends are on their phones, they are looking through their social media.
7. You are immune to spoilers about the shows you watch.
8. It is harder to find evidence you were at certain social gatherings.
Sometimes you play this to your advantage. No one can prove you were at the party where half the people were busted.
9. You don't stress out about who you're with, what you're wearing, or what your weekend plans are.
With more and more social media apps being invented, there seems to be added stress to look right and hang out with the right people, and do cool things to look good on social media.
