The decision to be a Biology major anywhere, especially at the University of North Georgia, is a decision that must be thought through with immense care. While you can change your major, you can't change the torture that you endure while you're in it. Of course, while studying, you might spend a fair amount of time watching TV. Here's 11 ways The Office accurately portrays being a Biology major:
1. You spend more time in HNS than with your friends.
The Health and Natural Sciences building has basically become your second home. You're there way before lecture and labs, during lecture and labs, and way after lecture and labs. You might as well just grab an air mattress and sleep in the Planetarium.
2. ...And all of your friends give you grief for it.
They don't understand. They'll never understand (unless they're Biology majors, too).
3. You have little to no tolerance for those students who say, "It's just Biology. You should know it.
Just...leave.
4. At least 60% of your everyday conversations involve this week's newest lesson
Your friends are sick of it. Your parents are sick of it. Heck, even YOU'RE sick of it. You just can't help that you have an immense amount of knowledge that you have no clue what to do with.
5. You have absolutely NO time to spend with your significant other
" Netflix and Chill?" You mean "HNS and Cry??" Sorry, hun, I have an exam to study for.
*Key word, RARE
7. ...and then the professor says there's another exam next week...
8. ...so you just accept your inevitable death.
Then again, registering for this class was basically you signing your own death sentence.
9. You’ve seriously contemplated switching classes/majors/universities/states/countries to get out of being a biology major
McDonalds is always hiring, you know.
10. Yet at the end of the day, the only thing going through your mind is this:
11. But hey, you know what? who cares?! You’re a Biology major and you rock. Keep on doing you.
