1. They trust you to make all of the decisions...most of the time.
Your dog doesn't care where you decide to spend the day, what you watch on Netflix, or what you wear while you're doing it all. When you're with your dog, it's a judgement free zone.
2. You feel comfortable having full on conversations with them.
"Please tell me more about your terrible day. I can make it all better." - your dog.
"I know, college should be free." - your dog.
"A new job? Yes, human, you're killing it!" - your dog.
3. Because they're the best listener you know.
They may not always understand what you're saying but you bet they're taking in every word.
4. Sometimes you actually get into arguments with them.
But they never last longer than five minutes, because your dog is the sweetest living thing you know and there's no way you could be angry at that little face for long.
5. You always have your own personal comedian.
Your dog is a natural born comedian that can crack even the most uptight of critics. Smear some peanut butter on his nose and prepare to laugh for at least 30 minutes.
6. You never have to go somewhere alone.
Two of your dog's favorite things: you plus adventures. Every car ride is made significantly better with a dog at your side.
7. Every night is a sleep over.
Sometimes they take up too much of the entire bed. But you're always there to comfort one another when one of you has a bad dream.
8. They know how to cheer you up.
Dogs are masters of a lot of things, but their natural born talent is cheering up their humans. That's why they were born so warm and fluffy. All of the best things in life are warm and fluffy.
9. They're your family.
Your dog is not simply your dog. They're your child, your sibling, your parent, your best friend, your soul mate, and your partner-in-crime.
10. They don't sweat the small stuff.
Dogs are inherently good. They don't stress about much because in their world, almost nothing bad can hurt them as long as they have their human there by their side. Dogs see the world with so much happiness and positivity that nothing is worth worrying about for longer than a few seconds. That's one of the biggest lessons we can learn from our pups.
11. They love you unconditionally.
Your dog doesn't care what you look like, what your degree is, how much money you make, or what your social media following is. He loves you because you're you, and because you love him. Unconditionally.
