11 Reasons Your Older Sister Is Your Best Friend Forever

She's your right hand, she's your go to. Growing up with an older sister was the best thing I could have wished for. Even though I'm sure at times she thought I was the most annoying person in the world, having a sister is like having a best friend for life.

1. She's always your biggest fan

It doesn't matter what you're doing, she will always be the loudest voice in the crowd.

2. She gives practical advice

She will tell it to you like it is, one hundred percent of the time.

3. She will always be there when things go South

Even though she told you not to do it, she will still be there to pick of the pieces when you mess up.

4. She lets you borrow all of her stuff

Having an older sister is basically like having a small mall right down the hall from you. Everything is fair game.

5. She understands your weird behaviors

You're weird. She gets it, and she will be weird right next to you

6. She is the best shopping partner around

She's always down for a shopping trip without fail. She tells you what look amazing, and saves you from horrible purchases.

7. She's like a second mom

She reminds you to be careful and to make good choices. She is starting to remind you of your mom... but let's face it, we are all turning into our mothers!

8. You get under each other's skin

She drives you mad sometimes, but you wouldn't have it any other way.

9. She is honest with you about your boyfriend choices

She will be the very first to tell you that he is not good enough.

10. Girls night out is the best night

When you both go out together, the party never ends.

11. She will be there for you until the very end

No matter what, you know she will always be there for you, until the very end.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

loaves of challah and easter bread stacked up aside each other, an abundance of food in baskets

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
