11 Reasons Why We Love Dogs
Blogspot

Some days all I need is a puppy to run around with and snuggle lots. The easiest way to de-stress for me is to curl up with the nearest fluffy dog and give it all of my love in a combination of hugs and scratches behind the ear.

You don’t even have to be a dog lover to appreciate a good snuggle with your worn-out pup after a walk. Dogs are man’s best friend; therefore, they are also the best providers of good-morning kisses, mid-afternoon cuddles, and sunset walks on the beach. To be honest, and maybe you’ll agree, if there was an opening to be a full-time stay-at-home dog mom, I would take that position in a heartbeat.

Here are 11 reasons why we just can’t resist loving dogs.

1. They make the best mothers.

Seeing puppies with their momma gives an overwhelming feeling of happiness and pride. The puppy plays and acts super silly under the careful watch of their big, strong caretaker.

2. They can play catch better than humans.

Sometimes they do sports better than we can, and who doesn’t love playing catch?! (Okay…maybe for us that are uncoordinated, we don’t love playing catch. But I’ll sacrifice my dignity to make a dog happy.)

3. They sit wherever they want.

Wherever they fit, they sit. And if this little fluffball sitting in a bucket doesn’t make you want to scoop them up and give them too much love, I don’t know what will.

4. They love the snow!

Sometimes other humans are too lazy to play in the snow with you, but your dog will always want to spend quality time with their human! Even if their paws get a little chilly. You can always lay on the floor with them when you’re done and curl up by the fire.

5. They'll fetch your mail when you're too lazy to do it yourself.

They know you struggle to get your mail every day, so they will happily fetch it for you… or they’ll just look really cute sitting in your mailbox.

6. Puppies are just fluffy bundles of joy.

The fact that puppies exist should be enough to make you fall in love with dogs. They’re fluffy and energetic and always willing to spend time with you.

7. Puppies are also bundles of chaos.

Who needs best friends when you have three little bundles of joy like these? I’m really trying to emphasize the point that puppies are better than people if you haven’t noticed.

8. Some are tiny enough to fit on your lap.

This little nugget just wants warmth, and if you wanted to take her for a little and let momma rest, I’m sure she’d be content to just curl up in your lap!

9. They have cute relationships with family pets.

They get along with our other pets! Good family dogs are also super gentle with their little pals.

10. They tolerate the cat more than we do.

They even sometimes get along with the cat. Though they may rival their human for attention, it kind of tugs at your heartstrings to see these two play with each other.

11. They provide the best snuggles for naps.

They will also take naps with you when no one is available. This guy just wants some peace and quiet, and I’m sure if you laid right next to him, he would be perfectly happy to hang with you for a little while.

So basically, we love dogs because they are way better than people. They never say no to naps, they’ll play with you all day every day, and honestly snuggling with a puppy is the best therapy in the world. Never say no to a dog who gives you their best puppy-dog eyes. Just give them all your love and you’ll have a best friend for life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
