11 Reasons Why Summer Is The Best Season
Stocksnap

1. It's warm enough to do everything you can't do in the winter

Sure, winter can have its perks, but there is only so much you can do with its below freezing with inches of snow on the ground.

2. The fruit

Between both spring and summer, so many of our favorite fruits become in season. It is the prime time of the year for strawberries, pineapple, and so much more.

3. Higher UV Index

I think we can all agree that we are our best self when we are tan.

4. Clothes

Summer clothes are more fun with vibrant colors and most importantly, less layers.

5. Less school

For many college students, the work never stops. However for most students taking classes year-round, there is definitely a lighter course load in the summer.

6. Music

Not only are the warmer months undoubtedly the best time of the year for music, they are also the perfect time for outdoor concerts.

7. Traveling

Most likely, the summer months will allow you some extra time to travel with family or friends.

8. More daylight

Compared to the winter months when the sun sets early in the day, the sun will set much later in the summer which allows us more time to enjoy the perfect weather outside.

9. Ice cream

All of the seasonal ice cream shops start to open, and who doesn't love ice cream??

10. Instagram opportunities

This one is a little basic, but oh so true. You can't deny the endless opportunities to catch the perfect picture - whether its at the beach, pool, concert, you name it!

11. Fresh air

In the winter it is sometimes hard to get fresh air when going outside makes your eyes water. Summer weather is the best weather to hang out outside, or even just crack a window open to let a nice breeze in.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
