"Stranger Things" is an original Netflix series that was released in July of this year. The series consists of 8 drama filled episodes. When I first came across this show on Netflix, I was hesitant to watch it because it didn't really catch my eye, but I was so bored and I had already seen most of the stuff on Netflix. Needless to say, I gave in and started it. I finished the entire season in one night, it was just that good! I'm a huge fan of mystery and sci-fi and lately it has been so hard to find a movie/show that I thoroughly enjoy, but "Stranger Things" did it for me.

1. It's Spooky

It isn’t your, “oh my god I’m going to have nightmares” scary, but close enough, I wouldn't advise you to watch it alone LOL. There’s some jumps and scares in it, which makes it even better and it will ALWAYS leave you wondering what is going to happen next.

2. The Kids

The main characters in this series are kids, how cool is that? It’s awesome, the friendships that they display are beautiful and I just love it. Them being kids also gives a comical side to the series which makes it that much better.

3. The Romance

Mike and Eleven, that is all, they are the best thing to happen to this show and it’s so cute. I mean, look at them! Now, we have a few other romantic relationships but they aren't as cute as Mike and Eleven so we won't even go into depth about them.

4. It Will Always Leave You On Edge

That’s the exact reason why its binge-worthy, one episode is never enough. The producer was smart when making this, every episode ends in suspense and makes you want more.

5. Finding Will

C’mon now, we all want to know where the heck Will is and if he’s ever going to come back. Is his mom crazy? Is she really communicating with him? Is he alive? Is he dead? WHERE IS HE?

6.The amazing soundtrack

Here's a link to the full original soundtrack that's on Spotify, your ears will thank you after listening to it. Original Soundtrack

7. THE GODDAMN LIGHTS

They are in every episode and they will definitely drive you crazy. The lights are how they communicate to the Upside Down, which is where they think Will is.

8. Chief Hopper

Let's face it, we can all relate to him on some level.

9. '80s feel

From the telephone that’s displayed here to their unique style of clothing. This series has numerous references to the 80s and I think that’s a reason why so many people enjoy it. It isn’t your typical modern day series, it’s better, way better.

10. Barb?

OK, where the heck are you?

11. ELEVEN

If the above reasons haven’t convinced you to start this show then she will, she has to! Her character is absolutely amazing and everyone has fallen in love with her. She has the perfect amount of crazy in her eyes and she's just badass. I love her!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
