"She’s The Man" is everyone’s all time favorite, classic movie. It’s mine, at least, and that’s really all that matters. I think it’s important to understand why we love the things we love, so I have done the dirty work and come up with the 11 reasons why it’s just so damn entertaining
1. OG Amanda Bynes.
Unfortunately, Amanda Bynes has become a tabloid story of drugs, rehab, and extremely inappropriate social media posts. This movie was her prime, and watching it brings you back to the days before she had cheek piercings and wanted Drake to --well, you know.
2. Channing Tatum.
Duke Orsino is every girls dream guy, sensitive and sexy. Oh, and he’s shirtless for three-fourths of the movie so, really, what else is there to say?
3. It's Shakespeare.
Fun fact if you weren’t already aware that "She's The Man" is actually an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s "Twelfth Night," so it’s not just a hilarious rom-com; it’s educational.
4. Viola's accent.
I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what it is about Viola’s Sebastian accent that’s so funny since the first time I watched it. Unfortunately, I have yet to figure it out but, nonetheless, it is one of the most entertaining parts of the movie.
I think this says it all, considering it’s the most incredible line of movie dialogue ever.
6. Paul's master plan to make Sebastian "cool"
Possibly the most notable scene from the entire movie is in the pizza place when Paul’s plan to make Sebastian cool is hilariously executed -- and then hijacked and almost ruined by Monique -- but it actually ends up just making Sebastian even cooler.
Viola (as Sebastian): Why? You’re hot!
Duke: What?
8. Eunice Bates.
Would this movie really be complete without Eunice’s awkward, yet highly entertaining, demeanor?
9. Headmaster Gold.
Always coming in clutch with the hilariously uncomfortable words of wisdom.
10. Mrs. Hastings.
We don't blame you, Viola.
11. Duke and Viola, Sebastian and Olivia, and Toby and Eunice all end up together
And they all live happily every after.
Oh, and I didn’t forget about Malcolm, but to be completely honest -- he just annoys me so I couldn’t get myself to put him on the favorites list.
