11 Reasons Why You Should Travel With Your Best Friends

Caught the travel bug or just need a change of scenery? You're not alone, which means you definitely don't want to travel alone. Grab a group of your closest pals and book that plane ticket to Italy or a tropical island because I'm here to tell you why traveling with your best friends is better than flying solo.

1. Planning the trip is 1000x more fun with a group.

You have more than one opinion when it comes to what you want to do, where you want to go, and how long you're going to stay. Texting each other twice a day about new activities leading up to the trip will also add to the excitement.

2. You have people to hold your hand on the plane.

Let's face it, turbulence can be pretty scary sometimes...or all the time.

3. Someone's always there to wake you up from your jet lag.

Ready for a nap, but your friends are all dressed up for the pub? Looks like they're dragging you out of bed for a pint.

4. You always have people to take pictures with.

Whether it be posed, a candid or a funny face, you'll never be doing it alone. The struggle is finding someone to take the picture for you.

5. Not only do you have the clothes in your suitcase, you also have two other suitcases to choose from.

If you think your outfit looks good, it will most likely look better with one of your friends accessories.

6. You'll never have to sight-see alone.

Sight-seeing with friends will give you a different perspective on every historical site you step onto because you'll all notice a different aspect of whatever you're seeing.

7. Nightlife will never be more fun.

Grabbing a pint of Guinness in Ireland? Hitting a club in London? Having your best friends by your side will make any of these way more enjoyable than going out in the city by yourself.

8. Sleepovers every night.

A sleepover in a foreign country is much more exciting than a sleepover in your hometown. Trust me.

9. Adding more people to your group.

When traveling, it's almost guaranteed that you'll make new friends. Being able to share the experience with friends both old and new will only add to the excitement of traveling another country.

10. You'll always have a shoulder to cry on when it's time to leave.

The end of your trip will be a kind of sad that you have never experienced before. Having your friends to cry with will make the bittersweet moment of leaving, a little less bitter.

11. Memories that will last a lifetime.

You'll never get tired of talking about the trip you just went on and can't wait until your own children will experience the rush of traveling with their best friends just as you did.

No matter where your next destination may be, make sure your best friends are right by your side through whatever crazy adventure you all find yourselves on.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
