Coffee is a magical drink made of hopes and dreams, but if you're not a coffee drinker, you probably wouldn't know that. I think there are a few things most people don't understand, so I'm about to put things into perspective. You see, it's more than just a caffeinated drink. It's the blood-type of so many around you (especially if you're a college student during finals week). Without further hesitation, here are 11 reasons to love coffee.
1. It keeps us awake.
If you've been up all night studying or working, the best thing to wake up to is a good cup (or six) of rejuvenating coffee to get you through the morning.
2. It's tasty.
Personally, I'll drink it any way you give it to me. Whether your thing is straight black, with cream or with some fancy ingredients, there's something out there for everyone with tastebuds. Be adventurous and try stuff!
3. It's good hot.
On cold winter days, there's no substitution for a warm cup of coffee beside a fireplace.
4. It's good cold.
Picture a hot day with a big glass of iced coffee to cool you down. This will do the trick!
5. It serves as an afternoon pick-me-up.
Let's face it, we all suffer from that post-lunch nap craving. Coffee is the perfect combatant. It's the ultimate treat during the work day!
6. It's vital to conquering the world.
Coffee is kind of like a symbol of power. It's also easier to take over if you're awake and functioning.
7. It's good to throw on your enemies.
Scalding coffee is a great defense mechanism for those who plot against you.
8. It could be a good accessory.
Nothing screams "fashionista" like a Michael Kors in one hand and a Venti Iced Skinny Hazelnut Macchiato, sugar-free syrup, extra shot, light ice, no whip in the other.
9. Coffee is good for the soul.
When you wake up, and your ice-queen heart is pumping your cold blood through your veins, what better way to become human again than with a nice cup of java?
10. It's versatile.
The band Journey once said, "Any way you want it/ That's the way you need it." I firmly believe you can have it any way you want it.
11. You can get it almost anywhere.
Whether there's a coffee shop down the street or a 7/11 in the neighboring parking lot, odds are, they've got your go-go juice. And let's face it, gas station coffee is pretty darn good.
