11 Movies Every 90's Kid Has Seen

From 'Skip It' to 'Heads up, 7-up" and even orange VHS tapes, the childhood of a 90's kid was nothing short of a blast. 90's kids had 'Tamagotchi's' instead of cellphones, and the 'Oregon Trail' rather than 'Call of Duty.' Being a 90's child was absolutely awesome. If those 90's items previously mentioned didn't make you feel nostalgic, then take a look at my list below of classic films that every 90's kid has seen probably ten times.

1. "Home Alone"

The young 8-year old, Kevin McCallister, kicked butt by setting burglar traps all over his house in this hilarious holiday classic. Who didn't wish they were actually this awesome when they were 8?

2. "Mrs. Doubtfire"

Robin Williams, a hilarious comedian, made an equally funny woman in this 90's classic film, "Mrs. Doubtfire."

3. "Cinderella"

Brandy and Whitney Houston starred in the classic fairy tale of Cinderella as revived by Walt Disney Television. Just looking at pictures of this movie brought back a ton of nostalgia.

4. "The Sandlot"

Scottie Smalls, the original Smalls, played baseball with a funny group of mismatched kids in the sandlot. Since the film's 90's release, the Sandlot crew has actually developed a cult following because of its popularity.

5. "Smart House"

The ultimate mansion with tv walls, replicating house maids and food that pops out of the counter which was definitely every kids' dream after watching this film. Disney Channel really struck gold with this classic. My only question is, why hasn't food begun popping up from our counters yet?

6. "The Parent Trap"

Lindsey Lohan starred in this classic story of two twins discovering one another. I remember being actually shocked years later after watching the film as a little kid that Lindsey Lohan doesn't actually have a twin. Comment below if you were shocked by this movie magic as well.

7. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Disney struck gold again with a Halloween, Christmas musical in the classic 90's film, "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

8. "Jumanji"

A fantasy adventure starring Robin Williams; there was nothing better to watch as a kid!

9. "Beauty and the Beast"

A tale as old as time, and a film every 90's kid has definitely seen more than once.

10. "Halloweentown"

There is a reason Disney made four of these.

11. "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid"

There is nothing more hilarious and definitely terrifying than a giant child which stomped around town in this popular 90's film, "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid."

So that was a quick list of popular movies that if you were a 90's kid, you have absolutely seen, and probably four or five times. Let me know your favorite films from the 90's in the comments below.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
