With Thanksgiving approaching, I have been thinking a lot about the things that I am thankful for. Some things are obvious such as family, but some are simple things that I take for granted. Here are 11 things that I am thankful for.
1. Dogs
Dogs are like tiny people, but so much better! They always will keep you company, they won't tell any of your secrets, and they give you unconditional love.
2. My computer
I use my computer essentially every day during the year. It allows me to do my schoolwork, and it gives me access to many of my favorite things such as Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify.
3. Pizza
This one is kind of a given. Who isn't thankful for carbs?
4. Cameras
My camera allows me to capture pictures of events or things that I want a reminder of. It also allows me to take photos of my dogs so that I can show everyone that my dogs are cuter than theirs.
5. Donuts
Just the look of a donut makes me happy. I have donut blankets, artwork, and even a donut hand sanitizer holder. I am so thankful for the invention of this pastry because it has brought so much joy into my life.
6. Books
Books allow me to escape from the world for a little while. Whenever I struggle during the day, a good book will always allow me to go somewhere new in the comfort of my own home.
7. Microfiber sheets
They feel so much better than cotton ones, believe me.
8. "Texting gloves"
These gloves are a must-have! I am so thankful that they keep my hands warm AND allow me to text or look for a new song to play.
9. Colorful pens
My notes would be so boring without these gems. I have about every color imaginable, and I am still collecting more.
10. My Apple Watch
This thing helps to keep me from turning into a couch potato. It helps me to keep up with burning calories and reminds me to get up every once in awhile and walk around.
11. Wireless headphones
I hate wires! Wireless headphones help to keep me sane while listening to music. I feel like I am chained to my computer or phone when using wired headphones, so wireless ones permit me to be farther than three to four feet away from my device.
