11 Inspirational Quotes For Adventurers

Adventure quotes have always motivated and inspired me to take risks and do the big things in life, like facing fears. Instead of randomly pinning quotes on Pinterest, I decided to take the time to write out the ones that really resonated with me in a quote journal, which I recommend doing if you also love quotes. It adds a personal touch to the words, and physically flipping through a journal filled with all of your favorite quotes is beyond helpful when you need motivation. If any of the quotes below speak to you, use them as your first quotes in your journal!

If you wait for the right time to go on an adventure, you could end up waiting the rest of your life and ultimately regret not doing it sooner. There are so many reasons you can think of to not do something today, but rather than looking for these reasons, start looking for reasons to get out there. Remember that it’s okay to not have a plan and that adventure is what makes life exciting and worth living.

Adventures can both start and end with these three things: coffee shops, sunsets, and road trips. Each of these things is made infinitely better with the presence of other people. We need the people in our lives to help us be the best versions of ourselves, and that’s our role in others’ lives, as well.

Shying away from things we are not used to or that are “outside the box,” is human nature. True adventurers are the ones who purposefully seek out these situations, as well as make the most of each situation they’re in because they realize it's an opportunity for growth. It's nerve-wracking before you do something that unsettles you, but it's exhilarating afterwards to know you did it.

Make a difference with your life—you only have one lifetime, after all.

Our lives are incredible journeys. Every experience in your life has culminated into this moment. Don’t waste time and energy on regrets, but instead, move forward in the manner you want to live your life. You have to decide what it is you want to do, and then you have to actually do it. Don't live a life that is anything less than what you want for yourself.

There are little adventures and there are big adventures. Cross off one thing on your bucket list each year, or a big adventure, in an effort to really live life to the fullest. Start saving money at the beginning of the year to ensure you actually get to do it. Adventures are the things that make us feel alive! Allocating money for this purpose is a no-brainer.

Okay, so you’re checking the big things off your bucket list, but it's a delicate balance between this and focusing on the people in your life. At the end of the day, the people who are by your side through the little adventures are are what really matter in the end. Invite your friends to be there for some of the big adventures to support you or to check them off their bucket lists, too.

I would argue that the thing you have to change about your daily routine is to make adventures out of the little things in life. You can allow your negative thoughts to weigh you down and dread daily tasks, or you can be grateful for the time you have to think and be thankful for the people in your life. You can start writing in a journal, do yoga, or meditate—anything that will improve your well-being.

We have to make the most of and see the good in each day so that our hearts are not heavy. Through our positive outlook, we will simultaneously lift others.

If you needed inspiration, look no further. Especially in college, it can get tricky when deciding what to do with your life. But if you remind yourself of this every day, I think you'd have no option other than to live your life fully.

I stumbled upon this post on Tumblr, and while it doesn't have a pretty background, I get chills every time I read it. Life is so expansive. Don't limit yourself.

"I learned early that the richness of life is found in adventure. Adventure calls on all the faculties of mind and spirit. It develops self-reliance and independence. Life then teems with excitement. But man is not ready for adventure unless he is rid of fear. For fear confines him and limits his scope. He stays tethered by strings of doubt and indecision and has only a small and narrow world to explore." - William O. Douglas

Adventure is the good stuff in life. Adventure can be as small as driving a new route somewhere or visiting a new brunch place with friends on Sunday. Adventure is experiencing life from a new perspective. because it's crucial for growth. Embracing adventure brings excitement and independence—I’m not saying adventure is easy, but I am saying that it’s worth it. Life is better when you have little adventures both to look forward to and to reminisce about.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
