Being on Long Island for the month-long winter break is definitely one of the best places to be, and for multiple reasons.
1. Find a beach
This is an easy one. No matter where you are, there is bound to beach at least 20 minutes away, if not five.
2. Go shopping
Time to get that last minute Christmas shopping that you didn't get done on Black Friday. Time to hit up Roosevelt Field or Walt Whitman!
3. Visit your high school
Hey, it could be kinda fun. Your favorite teachers will probably be happy to see you.
4.Go to this place!
I've actually never been to bounce in Syosset, but I always assumed it was a giant room with a million trampolines that you run around on. Why would you not be there?
Living on Long Island means you live next to greatest city in the world. Take advantage of it. Pretend to be a tourist, go to the tree, look up at all those buildings. Its never seems to get old.
6. Go to the Hamptons
To the city, or to the other side of the island. The Hamptons aren't just for summer.
7. Plan a spontaneous vacation!
Living on Long Island is almost like being on vacation all the time, but it's still nice to get away
8. Eat good food... a lot of it
Pizza isn't the same anywhere else surprisingly enough, and it really is sad that the rest of the world can't make a normal bagel.
9.Go check out a mansion
Trust me there are a bunch.
Cheka Castle (Huntington)
This is where T-Swizzle shot "Blank Space" #dopesauce
Sands Point Preserve (Sands Point)
Old Westbury Gardens (Old Westbury)
super duper pretty am I right?
10. Go Skating
Whether it's at Rockafeller center or not it's a must for winter time on LI
11. Visit your favorite farmer's market
They always have good things like jam and bread and butter and cookies. Stop by!
