11 'Friends' Quotes To Use In Your Life

Certain television shows have a way of making their way into your heart. They may simply be that hilarious comedy, a suspenseful mystery, or even a thrilling drama, but somehow, you forge a connection. You can relate to the characters, quote the show, and in some cases, live by the show's mantras. For many, "Friends" does all of these things and many more. Everything about the show seems very relatable.

1. For Your Social Life

Talking to new people, no matter the type of interest, can be a stressful event. You have to build up some courage, but sometimes, the pressure will get to you. That's all okay! So what if you're like Monica this time? When the time is right, you will get out there and have the same confidence as Rachel.

2. For When You have to be a Real Adult

It's inevitable. Eventually, you're going to have to go ahead and schedule your own appointments, make payments, and above all, take responsibility. It's definitely not the most exciting part of getting older, but the gang puts a humorous spin on it.

3. For When You Decide Not to Work Out

Everyone has days where they don't want to work out, and that's okay! Accept yourself the way that you are and think in the same manner as Joey. As long as you like yourself, who else is there to please?

4. For When You Seem to be Procrastinating

We've all been there. That huge assignment you've been putting off? Well, this would be you about a day or two before it's due. You have yet to reach the panic-stricken stage, and it's one of the last things on your mind. You know that you'll get it done eventually though, so no need to panic!

5. For When You're Having Trouble Choosing the Right Words

Everyone has those days where they just can't phrase things the way that they want to. This Chandler quote is one that will definitely make you feel better about yourself and your speaking capabilities, especially if you get to sleep past 9 a.m.

6. For When You Have an Early Class (or Just a Boring One)

They say you learn a lot of new skills in college, and the best one might have to be pretending to be awake. Let's face it, those 8 a.m.s (or even earlier)? Well, you may physically show up, but on the inside you're in a deep sleep. Don't fall asleep completely, though--you never know when you're going to be called on!

7. For When You Want to be Honest

Honesty is the best policy. We've all been told that at some point or another. Listen to Phoebe, she just states the truth. It might hurt, but hey, at least it's better than lying.

8. For When You Didn't Do Any Work Around the Holidays

No one wants to do anything school-related over break, so whenever you get back and the instructor asks where your assignment is, this is the perfect line. Maybe even bring in the link to the video. Ross has a way of making people laugh.

9. For When You Have Dumb Rationales

Sometimes, we are not as quick to think on our feet. We make dumb decisions that may have adverse effects later on. Joey was possibly the king of dumb rationales. They always have a way of lightening the mood and making you feel better about yourself.

10. For When Your Meal Times Are the Best Parts of Your Day

Food nourishes us, and can also comfort us. For when you're having a bad day, meals can be your outlet. That is the one time you don't have to focus on any type of work, so it's pretty darn relaxing. Just don't get as dependent on it as Ross did. You might have trouble if you do.

11. When You're Trying to Make Your Friends Laugh

Every time they have a bad day or experience, pull out your best sarcastic comment and try to make them feel better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
