Being in college is awesome, until you realize that the probability of owning a dog is negative 10 percent. There’s no instant clean up in the kitchen, no snuggles on the couch and no being woken up by a wet nose in the morning. Then there’s the fact that you know you won’t have a dog for years still. (Stupid campus rules.) It’s not the most devastating thing in the world, but it sure does feel like it sometimes. These reactions are familiar to those deprived of a dog.
1. Complete and utter sadness
Morose is a good word to use.
2. Bargaining
Or, begging your mom to get a dog so you don't have to
3. Anger? No. But definite annoyance.
4. Longing
I need a puppy in my arms now.
5. Apt attention to any dogs in a 100 foot radius.
Squirrel. Dog?
6. Demanding to pet all the dogs
Can I? *while already stroking dogs head*
7. Tears over videos of puppies
8. More begging
9. Euphoria (when you go to a friends house who just so happens to have a dog)
So, I can take her home with me, right?
