The Tab

Ever since I was a tiny little girl, Disney Channel has been my knight in shining armor. I would come home from school and turn it on. Heck, even today, as a sophomore in college, I still turn it on when I'm bored and have time to chill and watch it. But the one thing that I loved best was when the old Disney Channel movies would come on because they were (and still are) seriously the best.

Here are 11 Disney Channel original movies that you can watch today on Netflix!

1. High School Musical

High School Musical came out in 2006. This is also the year that every pre-teen girl started crushing on Troy Bolton. Luckily, the second one came out a year later in 2007 to help fuel our girly crushes. Both are on Netflix for you to binge watch all the time.

2. The Lizzie McGuire Movie

This TV show turned movie (which came out in 2003) is seriously what dreams are made of. What could be better than Hillary Duff, Rome, and a killer soundtrack? I'll have to admit I freaked out when I found out this was added to Netflix, but how could I not?

3. Camp Rock

Both Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2 (2010) are on Netflix. Don't pretend like you're too cool to go back and watch these while jamming out to the amazing soundtrack! I mean, Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers?! Come on!

4. Lemonade Mouth

Lemonade Mouth (2011) is less popular than HSM or Camp Rock but still has a rocking soundtrack and a really cool story line. If you've never seen it or want to re-watch it you should definitely check it out on Netflix ASAP.

5. Starstruck

This movie that came out in 2010 is every fangirl's dream come true. From meeting a super famous celeb, to spending the day together, to falling in love. This is another must see Disney movie.

6. Geek Charming

Geek Charming (2011) is my all time favorite Disney Channel movie. Its definitely not new to Netflix because it's constantly on my recently watched list. Its your classic queen bee vs. geek movie with all of the bickering and cuteness you can handle.

7. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior

This movie seems like it aired ages ago, which is kind of true considering it came out in 2006. The real question here is, will she save the world with her newly learned marital arts skills or become what she has always aspired to be: homecoming queen?

8. Princess Protection Program

In Princess Protection Program (2009) we finally saw our favorite BFFs together on screen (and soon after that their friendship sadly disintegrated). This is another movie that any girl would die to have happen to her. I don't know about you, but it was always my dream to live with (or be) a princess.

9. Cadet Kelly

This is the oldest movie on this list, it aired way back in 2002! But that doesn't take away from how good this movie is. Can you imagine being a teenage girl forced into military school?

10. Cowbells

Cowbells (2006) is your classic princess turned pauper story. Two super rich girls are forced by there father to work in his factory. When things go haywire its up to the girls to save the day. I know some of us might barely remember this movie, but its definitely worth the watch.

11. Jump In!

Jump In! (2007) is about a boy who's father wants him to be a boxer, but when he's introduced to jump rope he discovers that that's the sport he actually wants to pursue. This is another movie that seems really old, or underplayed, but again, I think it's worth it to go check it out on Netflix.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
