Summer's here, which means we all finally have the time to catch up on our favorite TV shows. Whether you're interested in drama, sports, music, mystery, or romance, here are 11 shows that you need to make sure you watch this summer. These are just a few of my favorites!

1. One Tree Hill

Arguably the greatest show of all time. If you like basketball, romance, and a classic coming-of-age story, this is the show for you. "OTH" is about two half-brothers, Nathan and Lucas Scott, who are rivals on the basketball court in the small town of Tree Hill, N.C. There are nine seasons, and they get progressively better and better as you watch...oh, and the characters get hotter each season, too.

2. Glee

Another classic coming-of-age show, perfect for people who love theater and music. "Glee" does get a little cheesy, but overall it is a quality show that shows what high school is like for the 'not-so-popular' kids. The music is phenomenal, and some of the characters have stunning voices (aka Lea Michelle).

3. Friday Night Lights

This GIF pretty much says it all. If you like football, Texas, and good looking guys with long hair, you should check out "Friday Night Lights." This show is about the Dillion Panthers, a Texas high school football team, and their struggles on and off the field. If you are a fan of any sports at all, you will love this show. Tim Riggins isn't too bad to look at, either.

4. Scandal

If you're a fan of politics, dramas, or thrillers, make sure you watch Scandal this summer. Television mastermind Shonda Rhimes created this show, and it revolves around Olivia Pope (aka a bad ass) solving problems within & outside of the White House.

5. Friends

A must-see classic. What else can I say?

6. How I Met Your Mother

Another must-see show. This comedy tells the story of how Ted fell in love, and it keeps you guessing for nine seasons. Throughout the nine seasons, you'll learn about Barney, Robin, Marshall, and Lily (Ted's best friends) and laugh a lot along the way.

7. Dexter

Different from all of the other shows on this list, "Dexter" is a crime drama/thriller/mystery. The show is bloody and uses a dark sense of humor, so don't watch it if you aren't into shows like that. "Dexter" revolves around main character Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensic technician but also enjoys killing people. The show is loaded with suspenseful twists and turns, as well as romance and dark comedy.

8. Vampire Diaries

This supernatural drama/horror/romance tells the story of Elena Gilbert, who falls in love with a vampire – and his brother. Both of the brothers happen to be really good looking too, which is a plus.

9. Gossip Girl

Blake Lively. Leighton Meester. Penn Badgley. Chance Crawford. Ed Westwick. That should be enough reasons to watch this show. A bunch of teens go to boarding school in Manhattan and things get wild. Check it out.

10. Grey's Anatomy

Another show created by mastermind Rhimes. If you don't already know, this is a medical drama that revolves around the lives of five interns and the work they do in the hospital. There are 269 episodes and counting, so if you're looking for a long-time show to commit to, this is the one.

11. The Office

It takes a really special person to watch (and enjoy) this show. Either you love it, or you hate it. If you're a fan of dry humor, check this show out. The episodes are only 22 minutes long, so you can fly through an entire season within a day or so.

If you have any other suggestions, leave them in the comments below! Happy watching.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
