11 Best "Twitches" Quotes
Disney's "Twitches"

Last week, I broadcasted ten of the best quotes from "Halloweentown."
I also watched Disney's "Twitches," another Halloween movie. Here are the top eleven quotes from this movie, several of which are exchanges between two characters

1. Karsh: "Our fate is in their hands now."

Ileana: "Well, actually, it's in our hands."

Karsh: "What?"

Ileana: "Well, if they’re our fate, and they’re in our hands, well then, technically…"

Karsh: "Would you just go? The darkness won’t rest until it finds them."

From the very beginning, this movie intersperses comedy into some darker moments. Here, it seems as if life and death hang in the balance, but the tension is eased through humor.

2. Ileana: "I wonder if we should have told them they're marked for death."

Karsh: "Why would we tell them that?"

Ileana: "I don’t know."

I love these two! They balance each other well, with rationality and seriousness.

3. Alex: "ln my fantasy, I was always the one to rescue her."

Cam: "Where was I?"

Alex: "Shopping."

Cam: "Fair enough."

Who doesn't have a friendship like this? I know I would be Alex, and some of my friends would be Cam, content shopping. Although, if I were shopping in a bookstore, I would definitely be Cam.

4. "So, I know I told you to do something special for your birthday, but I didn't think you'd go out and get yourself a twin."

Lucinda and I speak on the same level of sarcasm.

5. "I'm not a monkey. It’s a gorilla, clearly. You can tell by the color of the fur."

Karsh is the realist who tends to have a drier humor. Even though he is annoyed he got hit with a backlash from one of Alex and Cam's spells, he makes sure Ileana knows the difference between a gorilla and a monkey.

6. "You mean when I was a baby? I was one day old. All I did was scream, wet myself, and think ‘what the heck is going on?’. Other than acquiring some decent bladder control, things haven't changed all that much."

Cam speaks for a lot of people when she makes this astute observation, especially for college students who often have trouble keeping track of all they have to do.

7. Emily: "And just what was all that?"

David: "I have no idea. I don’t know if I’ve just been played or if that’s just one of those moments that makes parenting all worthwhile."

Emily: "Oh, honey."

David: "Mm?"

Emily: "You just been played."

Oh, the joys of being a daughter. Or of having a daughter, for parents.

8. Alex: "Do you have any other flavor besides sarcastic?"

Lucinda: "No."

This pretty much sums up my life.

9. "I really think we should go to that party. It'll be fun. We can mock people mercilessly. Come on, you know you love doing that."

We all have those fun, sometimes weird, activities we do with our friends.

10. "If there’s anything that I know, it’s that love is infinite. You can always make more when you need it. And just because you wanna give some to somebody else, doesn't mean that you'll take any away from me."

These last two quotes are much more serious. Emily reminds us that we can always make more love. Love is infinite. It knows no boundaries.

11. Alex: "The opposite of darkness isn't light."

Alex and Cam: "It's love!"

Ah, yes, that moment when the characters realize the true meaning of some important detail. While some people might cringe and shake their head at love being the opposite of darkness, the point of this realization is that love is strong. If one just remembers love, then he or she remembers that no one is ever truly alone.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
