It's the most wonderful time of the year...it's the holiday season!

This holiday season, you and your significant other might be wondering what dates are in store for you. If you're at a loss for date ideas, have no fear, I'm here with 10 winter date ideas you can do this holiday season!

1. Go Ice Skating

This is probably the most obvious date idea for winter. It's cold out, so many outdoor rinks are open. There might even be an indoor rink near you. Even if neither of you know how to skate, give it a try! You can both learn something new together.

2. Go Sledding

Finding places to go sledding is easy. Just head to your local park and find a huge hill! Don't forget to bundle up!

3. Make a Snowman

If you have enough snow in your area that's good for packing, head outside with a carrot, some buttons, and other snowman like accessories, and you'll be set to make a snowman!

4. See Christmas Lights

Driving around town and in subdivisions to see Christmas lights is an awesome activity. You can turn on Christmas music in the car and see all of the decorated houses in your neighborhood. It's a nice way to waste some time and be alone with your bae.

5. Bake Cookies

Making Christmas cookies is easy. Find an old family recipe or even use a plain sugar cookie recipe, then decorate!

6. Go Caroling

If you and your significant other enjoy singing together, caroling would be a great date for you. Grab some friends and other couples and go around your neighborhood and sing. People will enjoy it and you'll both feel warm inside after you're done.

7. Watch a Hockey Game

Hockey is a classic winter sport that many people enjoy. If you and your cutie enjoy sports, this will be a great activity for you. It can also be an early Christmas gift.

8. Build a Fort

Staying inside if it's too cold out might be a good idea. For this date, you don't need to buy anything. Use chairs and sheets and lights from around your house. Set up a movie on your laptop with a movie and cuddle in the fort.

9. Have Dinner by the Fire

Even if you don't have a fire place, you can make this a possibility. You can either make dinner for your partner and set it up by the fire, or set up your laptop to a yule log. You could also go out to a restaurant with a fireplace.

10. Go Holiday Shopping

A fun date for two would definitely be to shop together for holiday gifts. You don't need to shop for each other, but helping each other find gifts for family and friends would certainly be a wonderful date!

I hope that you and your significant other enjoy this holiday season!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
