It may seem like college students have it together and know what they are doing all the time, but believe it or not, we don't. However, these websites and apps make it seem like we are on top of things and help our lives seem a little more put together.

1. Mint

Mint helps you easily track your spending, pay your bills, and track your credit score. It is a very user-friendly app that takes very little effort to pay the bills.

2. Create & Cultivate

This website is targeted more towards women, but it gives you some inspiration and confidence to keep doing what you want to do in life. It is a movement for women looking to create and cultivate the career of their dreams. They have a blog and even host pop-up events where they talk about women empowerment!

3. Work Party

This website is very similar to Create & Cultivate. It is run by women who like to take on their own spin on work. They have a blog, podcasts, and other events to help women get involved!

4. The Lala

The Lala is a magazine for women in their 20s, and it has great ideas on how to empower women. Some of their articles include "Brand Ambassadors for College Students" and "How To Inexpensively Continue Learning After College."

5. Rate My Professors

This is helpful for all college students deciding which class to take. Professors definitely have different teaching styles, and you don't want to be stuck with a professor who has a very low rating. Rate My Professors has reviews from students who recently took class with that professor, so you can find out if the professor is a tough grader, bad teacher, has boring lectures, etc.

6. Instructables

Instructables has an endless amount of ideas for any DIY project. They have easy-to-follow instructions and creative ideas.

7. Coggle

Coggle is a very helpful tool to use when creating mind maps. It coincides with Google Drive, so it is very easy to share with others.

8. JoyRun

Joy Run is the perfect app for college campuses that don't have a lot of restaurants that deliver. All you have to do is the pick the restaurant you want food from, and soon enough someone will say they are making a run there and you can place your order!

9. Studentrate

No one likes to spend a lot of money on textbooks that they are only going to use for a semester. Studentrate has discounted prices for textbooks, travel, stores, and Netflix.

10. Tomato Timer

Tomato Timer sets a timer so you are able to focus and study for 25 minutes, and then it gives you a five-minute break. It is an easy way to stay focused and then reward yourself at the end with a break

These are just a few of the websites that have stood out to me, but there are plenty of others out there. With all the resources online, you can find an app or website for almost everything.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
