Finals week, or as I like to call it, "The worst week of the year," can really get to college students everywhere. For those of us who tend to procrastinate (ME!), it means a week of figuring out the absolute lowest grade you can make on your final to still make the grade you want. After this oh-so-terrible week, sometimes you just need to take care of yourself. So, here are 10 ideas of how you can do that.
1. Spa Day
Whether it's an hour long massage, mani-pedi, or just a haircut for the guys, sometimes just taking care of your body can significantly make you feel better after a long week. It doesn't have to be some big expensive ordeal, just a little you time can make you feel a lot better.
2. A Nice Meal
After a long week of Taco Bell, pizza, ramen and McDonalds, it's about time you treat yoself to a real meal. Spend a few extra dollars and go to Chili's instead and really appreciate good food again.
3. Girls/Guys Night Out
Round up your favorite friends to go out with and hit the town. Whether you're going to dance the night away or spend the night at a dueling piano bar, anything can help take your mind off the stress. Surrounding yourself with good people and fun activities can make the night better.
4. Dessert
CHOCOLATE. I know this is basic and does not seem that important, but dessert makes the world go round. More importantly, it makes my heart happy.
5. Shopping
To forget about the regret of not studying for finals, you should start by buying stuff and regretting spending money. That's how it works right?
6. Sleeping In
Zzzz.... Zzzz.... Zzzz... Nuff' said.
7. Netflix
You have been neglecting your favorite shows all week to study, and now it is time for you to binge watch an entire series in one week.
8. Random Dancing
Yes, I stole this from iCarly. Yes, it is necessary.
9. Alone Time
Being alone is important. Not having to worry about anything else but yourself for a little bit can take away all the stress has fallen upon your shoulders.
10. Crying Session
Sometimes you just need to cry it out, and that's OK. Just sit on the bathroom floor with a bucket of ice cream and just go at it.
