The end is near and the second semester is very much so approaching, but more importantly, summer is right around the corner. You may be graduating and starting a new journey, or you might be finishing your first year of college. Whatever the case might be, summer is coming. Let’s make the most of it.
Road Trip
Visit your local Sheetz to cool down with a slushie, or for something more exciting/costly, drive somewhere new. Go in the opposite direction of your house, grab a couple of friends, and follow the North Star. That might be a little nomadic, but it will make a great memory.
Work
Getting a summer job is always a must. To pay for future living costs or just to fund “activities” in college, always having extra cash flow isn’t too bad.
Music Festivals
Music festivals might be outwardly expensive, but seeing a talented lineup in a span of a week? It will always be worth money.
Concerts
Somewhat like music festivals, except it is very tailored to your taste. Concerts are where memories are made, especially if you go with the right people.
Bonfires
S'mores. Literally all you need in summer is a nice beach fire with s'mores. And I guess warm weather helps, too.
Beach Parties
Grab a volleyball, a grill, a pack of people, and just go crazy. The beach is the perfect place to work up your tan.
Get a Tattoo
Find a symbolic meaning—maybe two triangles that intersect with a circle in the middle—and get it somewhere that you will cherish forever. Plus, matching/group tattoos are cool and create a lasting bond between the separate parties.
Go to an Amusement Park
Even if you are scared of riding dangerously tall roller coasters, there is always walking around and doing little carnival activities. Nothing is boring unless you make it boring.
Explore
You may live in an urban city or just in the middle of nowhere. It does not matter; look around and appreciate your surroundings.
Take Pictures
Do not be too naive to think that most of the memories made in the summer will actually be remembered. Take lots of photos, not only for yourself, but so that you can brag to others about what a great summer you had!
Summer is one of the greatest seasons ever, even if it becomes hot. Do not be a lazy couch potato who only hangs out in the air conditioning. Enjoy it while you are young.
