10 Ways To Know You're Obsessed With Disney Parks

Walt Disney World® has marked itself as the most magical place on earth, and it doesn't disappoint. Rides, shows, parades, fireworks, characters, unique dining experiences...what's not to love?

Disney is for the young and the young at heart. It transports you to a world of fantasy, and people of all ages have fallen in love with it over the past 44 years.

BUT...do you just love it or are you obsessed?

Trust me- there is a difference, and here are 10 ways to determine if you are crazy for Disney!

1. You know the words to Disney attractions/shows.

Anyone can quote a Disney movie, but it takes a real Disney World fanatic to be able to quote ride spiels and parade soundtracks! Your friends probably hate riding Tower of Terror and watching Wishes with you because you can quote/sing all of it...or maybe that's just my friends. Oops.

2. You check wait times when you aren't even in the park.

Sometimes I just really want to know what the wait time is for Toy Story Midway Mania even though I'm nowhere near Disney's Hollywood Studios®. It's interesting, for me at least, to see how the wait time differs during different times of the year. And then if the wait is short, I cry inside and contemplate driving the three hours for the day.

3. You are always planning a trip.

Whether it's a day trip or a week-long vacation, you are always on the Disney website planning and pricing out your next trip to your happy place. And every day until your next trip is absolute torture.

4. You are always asked to help plan trips for other people.

In my family, I am the resident Disney trip planner. I pick which parks we go to on which days, I make the fast passes and I secure dining reservations. I am also always asked to provide input/assistance when other people are planning their trips. This might annoy some people, but I live for this. I really should be a Disney vacation planner.

5. You find any excuse to go.

Day off? Disney. Weekend? Disney. Random Tuesday? Disney. Holiday? Disney.

If there is a reason to go to Disney and you have no other plans, you are there. Last year, I successfully convinced my parents to spend Halloween and New Year's Eve/Day in Disney and now they're hooked. In fact, my dad wants to spend his birthday this year in Disney. Mission accomplished.

6. You're genuinely upset/jealous when people you know are in Disney.

7. You own way too much Disney Parks merchandise.

Me about my endless collection of Mickey ears- "But who cares, no big deal, I want moooooooore."

But really, you probably have A LOT of shirts, ears, pins, and miscellaneous merchandise from your crazy amount of trips to your happy place.

8. You are an avid pin trader/collector.

When you find a pin you need for a set, it's basically like Christmas Day, but non pin lovers just won't understand. Bonus if you manage to score Cast Member exclusive pins!

9. You dream of working for the company someday.

Getting to call yourself a Cast Member, even once, would be a dream come true.

10. Disney feels like home.

It doesn't matter if it's your first time or your 1000th time- it always feels like you're coming home. The minute you step foot on Disney property, every care and worry washes away as you become wrapped in the magic and delight that is around every corner. And only the people who feel the same way as you do understand this feeling.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
