I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited about the idea that someday we'll be living on Mars. Well, that is, if you believe we'll actually be able to not only get there, but also build houses and grow our own food, and, you know, survive on a new planet. Yet, still, it’s fun just to think about what it would be like to actually live on Mars! Would we all live in a giant bubble full of air, or walk around in really uncomfortable, discount space suits? What would it be like to ride in a space ship? What would the days be like? What about houses, what would they look like? So many questions, so many day dreams… but, I have no doubt that human nature wouldn’t change. It’s a big step, going from a life on earth to a life on Mars, but that doesn’t mean humans will undergo huge changes. Here are some distinctly human behaviors and attitudes that I don’t think will ever change.
1. We'd still binge watch our favorite TV shows.
2. We'd still be looking for life outside of earth.
Come now, really? Really? Where are you?
3. We'd still invent really useless stuff.
Is a back-scratcher really necessary? Or a selfie stick?
4. Narcissism would still be a thing...
I know, I'm pretty dang awesome. No need to say anything.
5. But then, so would kindness.
6. We'd still demand perfection.
Yes, I want three and half sugars, a teaspoon of cream, and exactly four ice cubes in my coffee. Thanks!
7. We still wouldn't agree 100 percent on anything.
8. One generation would still complain about the other.
Back in my day, we didn't have no fancy communicatin' devices to call one another! We wrote letters! Something's wrong with your generation! *kid continues texting friends about ranting uncle*
9. Humans would still be messing things up.
Yep, it's just what we do. Sometimes it's good -- cheese, anyone? Sometimes bad... uh, sorry passenger pigeon!
10. We'd still be looking for the next place to live.
Come on, why stop at Mars, when you can go further?
