We have all been there, you’re lying in your bed holding back tears because you feel like it’s your breaking point. You are trying so hard to be hopeful and keep going but your knees are weak and your faith is shaking. If there is one thing you should know, our God did not bring you this far to leave you. We cannot forget the plan He has for us. These minor setbacks will launch us into the greatness that He has in store. It’s completely appropriate to have those days, but pick yourself up and remember these verses that helped me get through days that were not the brightest.
1. "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still"- Exodus 14:13-14
2. “I will walk by faith, even when I can not see”- 2 Corinthians 5:7
3. “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you”- Isaiah 43:2
4. “You do not understand now what I am doing, but someday you will”- John 13:7
5. “The pain that you have been feeling, can not compare to the joy that is ahead”- Romans 8:18
6. “I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born, says the Lord”- Isaiah 66:9
7. “When I am afraid, I will trust in you”- Psalm 37:4
8. “The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”- Psalm 34:18
9. “Under his wings, you will find refuge”- Psalm 91:4
10. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure”- Hebrews 6:19
If you have a favorite quote or verse, take it with you. Write it on your mirror, have it in your agenda, make it a constant reminder that you can do this!I am guilty for questioning Him, because I do get frustrated with the way things play out, but I find it refreshing knowing, no matter what happens, that was meant for me.
Things get tough, and it is okay to have a moment to yourself where you cry and let it out, but do not stay there. Wipe your tears, stand up tall and have faith in knowing the best days of our lives have not happened yet. There is so much in store for you. Believe in yourself, and know He is with you.
