When you go out to play "Pokémon Go," you end up meeting a lot of people. These people include some of the following:

1. The Original Player

They have been playing Pokémon since it first came out and they want you to know it. They may not be trying to be rude to those who haven’t, but their excitement for the game and this new way of playing it makes it hard for them to resist the urge to brag.

2. The Hardcore Gamer

Will go out of their way to be at a PokéStop every five minutes. Has figured out Easter eggs or is trying to figure out Easter eggs. Probably has at least two Gyms under their leadership and will get overly upset when those Gyms are beaten. Most likely a member of Team Valor (but could be either other team as well).

3. The Newbie

Has never played Pokémon before and needs help sometimes figuring out which Pokémon is which. They are new to the world of Pokémon and should be welcomed into the community. They are just as important as any other player of this game.

4. The Hater

They go around and actively make it known that they don’t like "Pokémon Go" for whatever reason they have. Some claim it’s a child’s game, others believe it to be too nerdy for their taste. Whatever their reasons, please don’t indulge them.

5. The Girlfriend / Boyfriend

They lost their significant other to "Pokémon Go" when the game came out. They had two choices: become a hater or start playing. They chose the latter and now play the game alongside their so. However, they don’t really know what they are doing and are always asking their significant other questions.

6. The Mega Nerd

Is it considered nerdy? Then they are probably into it. They probably know too much about everything. Be warned if you ask them a question: it may take you a while to get back to playing the game.

7. The Casual Nerd

Like the mega nerd, they are into a bit of everything. They may go through phases of interest and flip between main fandoms frequently. They don’t actively make their loves for these things known.

8. The Couple

They spend their dates going out and finding PokéStops and Gyms. They seem to be inseparable, but will split up if it means their teamwork game is stronger. They are defiantly on the same team.

9. The Merchandise Monarch

They own everything. Hot topic is a favorite store of theirs. They are almost never seen in anything other than a shirt depicting some fandom of their choosing for that day. They very well may have a Poké Ball backpack, and you can bet anything they have a Poké Ball battery pack.

10. The Family

Parents out with strollers and children running around. Even with the children though, they end up having strong "Pokémon Go" game skills.

No matter who you meet while playing, make sure you have fun and are safe while doing it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
